TRANSOM Catering, provides catering services to all International and Domestic Airlines from Muscat International Airport and also offers Non-Aviation Catering Services.
Its new outstanding facilities were launched in 2020, a noteworthy improvement for the organization. It is the biggest kitchen in the Sultanate of Oman, three times bigger than its predecessor. Designed to meet stringent HACCP & ISO requirements, each section of our kitchen is designed in a way that promotes efficiency in product flow during the preparation and dish-out phases of meal production.
This new facility is a state of the art kitchen, with the latest technology, laundry, and laboratory equipment and is one of the most advanced in the Gulf region. The facility is maintained to the highest standards by our internal team of engineers and technicians working 24-hours a day to ensure premium levels of service delivery. A modern fleet of air-conditioned high loaders and chiller vans are available to ensure adequate allocations to each aircraft throughout even the busiest of schedules.
Our team is very diverse which gives us the “edge” when developing and producing menus for our widely international clientele. We believe we offer authenticity and quality consistently throughout our varied product offering.
Our new high bay storage is equipped with upgraded warehouse management systems, electronic machinery, Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) Truck and other technological enhancements, with a storing capacity of 3,544 pallets. The storage chiller has a huge capacity which is built as a high bay pallet chiller and operated with the VNA machines. Two large capacity freezers with two levels (Ground and Level 1). Spacious Duty-free storage, available for storing and packing duty free items for onboard sale.
TRANSOM Catering, was previously certified in ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 22000:2005 by Intertek Certification Body and currently we are upgrading the Quality systems of TRANSOM Catering to IMS (Integrated Management System) which covers, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 10001:2018, ISO 22000:2018 and ISO 17025:2017 Consultancy with Total Quality Consultancy in Muscat, Oman.
We are an approved High Field Training Center and part of our team is certified by Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH), which is one of UK’s leading awarding organizations.
Currently, we are expanding our capabilities and supplement it to the fisheries industry in order to promote and enhance the export of Omani premium quality fish.
The overall services provided by TRANSOM Catering, comprises of Catering Services to Airlines, VIP & Executive Flights, Private & Corporate Events, Airport Lounges – Oman Air Business Class Lounge & Majan Lounge, Staff Canteens. Our other services include Quality Assurance, Transportation & Logistics, Equipment Ware wash, Airline Cargo Clearing & Handling, Laundry, Storage Facilities and Fish Processing.
TRANSOM Catering, offers a fine selection of menus specially prepared to meet the satisfaction of all customers and passengers. All meals provided are Halal and prepared with the best ingredients in a meticulous manner.
