Oman Airports celebrated the graduation of a new group of start-ups under its Incubators and Accelerators Program. The ceremony was held at Jumeirah Muscat Bay Resort under the auspices of Her Excellency Halima bint Rashid Al-Zari, Chairperson of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, and the presence of Eng. Hamood bin Musabah Al-Alawi, Acting CEO of Oman Airports, along with senior executives.
On this occasion, Eng. Hamood bin Musabah Al-Alawi stated, “Today’s graduation of start-up founders highlights Oman Airports’ commitment to supporting innovation in Oman, and the building of an integrated aviation ecosystem aligned with Oman Vision 2040.”
He added, “Our celebration of these young entrepreneurs underscores our dedication to nurturing innovative talent who contribute to sustainable development goals. Oman’s aviation sector serves as a dynamic platform for innovation, and today’s event highlights the strategic support provided by Oman Airports’ Innovation Lab, aimed at showcasing the outcomes of this program.”
The Innovation Lab was inaugurated in October 2023 by His Highness Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham Al Said, and aims to empower innovators and start-up founders through its Incubators and Accelerators Program.
The program has attracted applications from over 60 start-ups, including both local and international companies, all of whom participated in rigorous training and development initiatives to help them unlock their full potential.
During the event, the participating start-ups presented a range of innovative solutions related to aviation and its associated services. In addition, the exhibition space offered an opportunity for the start-ups to showcase their cutting-edge technologies, reflecting their dedication to driving innovation in the sector.
