Oman Airports Celebrates the Spirit of Gulf Brotherhood on Saudi Arabia’s 94th National Day at Muscat International Airport

On September 23, Oman Airports celebrated Saudi Arabia’s 94th National Day with its passengers at Muscat International Airport as part of a national event themed "Your Celebrations Are Our Celebrations." This celebration reflected the deep fraternal ties and strategic partnership between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while also serving as a true embodiment of Gulf values rooted in traditions of cooperation and solidarity.

The event highlighted the spirit of Gulf unity by distributing traditional Omani sweets to all passengers, whether Arab or foreign, introducing them to this Saudi occasion, which is an integral part of the shared Gulf identity. To give the celebration a special touch, passengers traveling to and from Saudi airports via Muscat International Airport were warmly welcomed with Omani coffee and sweets, symbolizing Oman’s hospitality and the shared historical and cultural bonds between the two nations.

Omani musicians added another layer of brilliance to the event by performing Saudi national songs and anthems, creating an atmosphere of pride and celebration of the united Gulf heritage. Passengers also received scarves and commemorative gifts, including chocolates and medals designed specifically for this occasion, as a token of the deep friendship and affection that binds the two peoples.

This celebration reflects the deep desire of the Gulf people to celebrate the national days of their brothers in the region, as part of a deeply rooted culture embodying unity and cohesion. This tradition, which has become a common practice among the GCC states, symbolizes brotherhood and mutual support between the people of the Gulf, expressing the sentiment that the national days of any Gulf country are a celebration for all.

The airport's internal and external screens showcased special content for this historic moment, sending a welcoming message that reflects Oman’s appreciation for Saudi National Day.

It is worth noting that Oman Airports has been celebrating the national days of Gulf countries since 2014, in recognition of the strong ties between the GCC countries and a firm belief in promoting the shared values of the region’s people.
