Dubai - Oman Airports: As part of the Sultanate of Oman pavilion, which is represented by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, Oman Airports is currently participating in the Arabian Travel Market 2023 in Dubai, which was opened on Monday, 1st May 2023.

Sheikh Ayman bin Ahmed bin Sultan al Hosani, CEO of Oman Airports, said, "Our participation in the Arabian Travel Market 2023 this year comes from Oman Airports' belief in the need to integrate with all national efforts to promote the Sultanate of Oman. This is being achieved by highlighting the role of Omani airports – including Muscat International Airport, Salalah Airport, Sohar Airport, and Duqm Airport – and by showcasing their ongoing development, and the levels of service they provide. This comes in line with the Sultanate of Oman attaching great importance to the airport sector as a gateway for visitors and tourists making their way into the country.”
"The Sultanate of Oman, with its rich history, heritage, and tourism components, is a global destination for visitors and tourists. Therefore, we at Oman Airports are consistently and continuously working on enhancing movement to and from the country by providing all the required airline and aviation facilities – whether for airlines operating flights to and from our airports, passengers entering the Sultanate, or passengers making their way through Oman via transit flights,” the CEO, Al Hosni, added.
The CEO also emphasized that with their participation at Arabian Travel Market 2023, Oman Airports seeks to implement a series of meetings with officials of various international airlines and specialized tourism institutions. These meetings would have an aim to attract these airlines and institutions to operate flights to and from Oman’s airports, and to therefore increase the volume of flight activity within the Sultanate. This would apply to current partners or companies that intend to launch their flights through scheduled or charter flights during the tourist seasons in both summer and winter.
Al Hosani pointed out that Salalah Airport witnesses an increase in the number of direct flights between Gulf capitals and the Governorate of Dhofar during summer, as tourists visit Salalah to enjoy the annual Khareef season. This increase in tourist numbers subsequently requires an increase in the number of flights from these Gulf countries, and comes in line with the policy of Oman Airports to provide all facilities to Gulf airlines. In addition, the winter season in Oman also witnesses an increase in the number of charter flights coming from European countries, whether to Muscat International Airport or Salalah International Airport.
The CEO further added, “During the coming period, we will witness the launch of new flights by local Omani airlines, whether Oman Air or SalamAir. During summer, there will be new flights to several Central Asian countries and other destinations. At Oman Airports, we are ready to keep pace with the expected growth during the summer season, as the travels to and from Oman are very active during this time".
